Forensics

Forensic laboratories frequently use sterilents and reservatives. Formaldehyde, often mixed with alcohols or phenols, is commonly used. OSHA has a specific standard for formaldehyde that stipulates initial and periodic monitoring, protective equipment and clothing, training and designating regulated areas among others.
